Roller Dance Jam Session

Every Wednesday night is a Jam Session with a community sharing vibe.

This is not a formal class, this is a regular skate session with the beginner skate area reserved for skaters who are practicing dance moves and learning new tricks. One of our House of Skate staff will break down a roller dance move for 15 minutes at the beginning of the session and you can work through it for the rest of the session with your fellow skaters.

This session is open to all ages but is not oriented towards young children.

Jam session Etiquette

  • Practice your basics first. It’s easier to work on steps when you have already found your balance, can roll, stop, and be on one foot in your skates.
  • Be aware of your surroundings and other skaters; if you’re doing jumps or high kicks, make sure you have room.
  • If you’re asking for tips or offering advice, ask permission. We are here to learn and share with each other, but if someone is focused on their own practice it’s ok for them to say so.
